Set ‘Turn off browser geolocation’ to ‘Enabled’

Details

This policy setting allows you to disable browser geolocation support. This will prevent

websites from requesting location data about the user. If you enable this policy setting,

browser geolocation support is turned off. If you disable this policy setting, browser

geolocation support is turned on. If you do not configure this policy setting, browser

geolocation support can be turned on or off in Internet Options on the Privacy tab. The

recommended state for this setting is- Enabled.

*Rationale*

Some applications and websites may share location information with servers that the user

visits, some organizations may be concerned that this location information could be

exploited by a malicious user who has access to such a server.

Solution

To establish the recommended configuration via Group Policy, set the following UI path to
Enabled.
