Ensuring that approved NTP servers are used allows for accurate log/audit file correlation.

Solution

In the Web UI , navigate to the ‘System’ section , click on ‘NTP’ and then click the check box for ‘Enable NTP’. Add applicable server IP addresses.

This security hardening control applies to the following category of controls within NIST 800-53: Audit and Accountability.This control applies to the following type of system WatchGuard.
